Epic Games said that “Fortnite: Save the World” is going free-to-play on April 16, welcoming even more players to join the fight on PC, PlayStation (SONY), Xbox (MSFT), Cloud, and Nintendo Switch 2 (NTDOY). “As a thank you for the last nine years of world saving, current players will receive Superchargers, Vouchers, and Gold on April 16,” the company said. “Founders will continue earning V-Bucks through Daily Quests, Mission Alerts, Storm Shield Defense Missions, and existing Challenges.” Investors in Epic include Tencent (TCEHY), KKR (KKR), Disney (DIS), and Sony.
