Canada is seeking to recover “hundreds of millions of dollars” from Stellantis (STLA) and General Motors (GM) due to scaled-back production, The Wall Street Journal’s Paul Vieira reports. Stellantis received over C$1B to reconfigure its Brampton plant, while GM received C$260M for its Ingersoll factory, according to the report. Last week, Industry Minister Melanie Joly told the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. that she would also seek money from GM after the Detroit-based company followed through last week on its plan to cancel a third shift at its factory in Oshawa, Ontario.
