Comcel, a subsidiary of America Movil (AMX) that operates as Claro in Colombia, has submitted a request to the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce for authorization to integrate strategic assets of Azteca Comunicaciones Colombia and Total Play Comunicaciones Colombia, Efren Paez Jimenez of DPL News reports. The transaction involves the acquisition of the National Fiber Optic Project Network, built with resources from the ICT Fund and spanning approximately 20,000 kilometers, as well as the ACC Network, approximately 12,000 kilometers long, both operated by Azteca Comunicaciones, a Grupo Salinas company.
