Ronald Josey has given his Buy rating due to a combination of factors, including Amazon’s strong first-quarter performance and robust profitability trends. He highlights that both revenue and operating income exceeded expectations, with particularly strong operating margins at AWS and within North American retail, indicating that Amazon is executing effectively across its core businesses.

Josey also points to Amazon’s above-consensus second-quarter outlook, helped by the timing of Prime Day and continued momentum in advertising and international retail. He views accelerating AWS growth, sustained margin expansion, and solid consumer demand as key drivers supporting his unchanged $285 price target, reinforcing his positive stance on the stock’s risk-reward profile.

In another report released today, Barclays also maintained a Buy rating on the stock with a $330.00 price target.

AMZN’s price has also changed moderately for the past six months – from $230.300 to $263.040, which is a 14.22% increase.
