Shift5 has entered a strategic partnership with defense technology firm Raglan to combine its operational intelligence platform with Raglan’s software-defined vehicle control systems, aiming to modernize and harden military and government vehicle fleets against cyber and electronic warfare threats. The collaboration positions Shift5 at the center of integrated vehicle security by adding real-time monitoring and analytics to Raglan’s open vehicle architecture, creating a combined offering designed to protect high-value occupants and mission-critical assets.
For Shift5, the alliance expands its addressable defense market by embedding its commercially proven cyber and operational technology monitoring into next-generation fleet modernization programs pursued by customers such as U.S. special operations and other government users. Executives from both companies framed the partnership as a disruption of the traditional “uparmored” vehicle model, with Shift5’s President and Interim CEO emphasizing enhanced safety and mission readiness through continuously secured and monitored platforms, and Raglan’s CEO highlighting unconstrained vehicle capabilities with full visibility across the architecture. The companies plan to showcase their integrated solution at SOF Week 2026 in Tampa, a key venue for engaging defense procurement and operational decision-makers, which could translate into new program wins, deeper platform integration, and longer-term recurring software and services opportunities for Shift5.
