Mach Industries has appointed veteran defense and national security leader Nathan Diller as President and Chief Strategy Officer, positioning him to direct company-wide strategy, growth, and external engagement as the firm scales manufacturing of advanced unmanned systems. The move comes as Mach ramps production at its 110,000-square-foot facility, executes a new production contract, advances multiple R&D programs, and conducts flight tests across five product lines.
The hire follows Mach’s $100 million Series B round led by top-tier venture investors, providing capital to expand its vertically integrated weapons, propulsion, and manufacturing platform in support of U.S. and allied defense priorities. Diller brings experience from Divergent, where he served as CSO and then CEO of its aerospace and defense subsidiary, and from more than two decades in the U.S. Air Force and key defense innovation roles, including Director of AFWERX and staff on the House Appropriations Defense Subcommittee. His background managing large technology budgets, shaping defense innovation policy, and emphasizing flexible, rapidly reconfigurable factories signals Mach’s intent to industrialize “war-winning” systems at scale and compete for larger, recurring production contracts across the defense ecosystem.
