The company announced its expansion into the lifestyle hotel segment with the launch of a new hospitality brand, Atipico Hotels. The concept targets mid-sized urban hotels near key city centers and aims to combine vintage design elements with contemporary features, including wellness, co-working, and social spaces. The first Atipico Hotels location is scheduled to open in Spain in the fall.
For investors, this move signals Habyt’s strategic diversification beyond its core co-living and residential offerings into the broader hospitality market. Entering the lifestyle hotel segment could open new revenue streams, leverage existing operational capabilities in flexible accommodation, and strengthen the brand’s presence in urban hospitality. However, it also exposes Habyt to competitive and capital-intensive hotel market dynamics, including higher sensitivity to travel cycles, occupancy rates, and local tourism trends. Successful execution and occupancy ramp-up at the inaugural Spanish property will be an early indicator of the scalability and profitability of the Atipico concept, and may influence Habyt’s ability to expand the brand to additional cities over time.
