Doccla featured in multiple updates this week as it sharpened its focus on AI-enabled virtual care and expanded its presence across U.K. and Irish health systems. The company is set to exhibit at NHS ConfedExpo 2026 in Manchester on June 10–11, targeting stakeholders involved in virtual wards, proactive care pathways and hospital demand reduction.

Doccla plans to use the ConfedExpo platform to discuss what is working in digital health and how virtual models can relieve pressure on inpatient capacity, A&E demand and long-term condition management. The visibility at this major NHS-focused event is designed to support business development, deepen relationships with healthcare providers and potentially pave the way for new contracts and partnerships.
Operationally, Doccla has grown its virtual ward footprint to seven sites across all Irish health regions, treating over 3,000 patients with strong satisfaction scores. Specific programs at St. Vincent’s University Hospital and in Drogheda have together supported more than 1,700 patients and delivered over 1,000 saved bed-days, underscoring tangible capacity benefits for public hospitals.
In the U.K., the company advanced Comfort Tracker, a home-based end-of-life monitoring tool co-developed with NHS clinicians, which has already supported more than 200 patients across Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust and East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. Plans to extend Comfort Tracker to around 1,000 patients in the coming year highlight Doccla’s push into sensitive, high-acuity use cases beyond routine remote monitoring.
Doccla continues to position its AI-led virtual care model as a key enabler of the NHS “Fit for the Future” 10-year plan and the Neighbourhood Health Framework, emphasizing hospital-level care at home and earlier identification of deterioration via clinical-grade wearables and continuous data review. Commentary from Chief Strategy & Growth Officer and Deputy CEO Michael Macdonnell in an AI News feature further aligned the company with long-term NHS transformation goals.
To reinforce its data-driven narrative, Doccla launched “Doccla Pulse,” a quarterly briefing for NHS and European health leaders that will share patient feedback, evaluated outcomes and product updates. Taken together, this week’s developments signal growing scale, deeper integration with public health pathways and a strengthening competitive position for Doccla in virtual wards, proactive community care and end-of-life monitoring.
