Cytovale’s IntelliSep Expands Use in Froedtert Health Network

According to a recent LinkedIn post from Cytovale, the IntelliSep sepsis risk assessment tool is now in use at Froedtert Health Menomonee Falls Hospital. The facility reportedly serves over 24,000 emergency department patients annually and is the second site in the Froedtert and Medical College of Wisconsin Health Network to implement IntelliSep in its emergency department.

The post indicates that this rollout extends IntelliSep use from an academic medical center into a community hospital setting. Cytovale’s post links this expansion to real-world data from Froedtert Hospital, where a propensity-matched study of more than 6,000 emergency department patients with suspected infection found IntelliSep use was associated with a 42% reduction in mortality.

The same study cited in the post also found that IntelliSep use was associated with roughly two fewer days in the hospital for these patients. If such outcomes are replicated more broadly, investors may view this as supportive of IntelliSep’s value proposition in reducing both clinical risk and healthcare resource utilization.

For Cytovale, the extension into a second site within the same health network may signal incremental traction in clinical adoption. From an investment perspective, successful deployment in both academic and community settings could strengthen the company’s position in the sepsis diagnostics and emergency medicine market, potentially aiding future commercialization and partnership opportunities.
