Brightspeed has surpassed three million fiber-enabled locations across its 20-state network, marking its second consecutive year of delivering more than one million new fiber passings and confirming its position as a leading U.S. fiber builder. CEO Michel Combes said this build rate underpins a scalable, predictable deployment engine that keeps the company on track to reach four million homes by year-end and exceed five million locations over time, with the strategy aimed at maximizing long-term returns from its fiber infrastructure.
The company is pairing its multi‑billion‑dollar private fiber investment with more than $860 million in state, local and federal broadband funding, which will allow Brightspeed to extend its planned build by over 338,000 additional locations in underserved markets. As it accelerates deployment, Brightspeed is also emphasizing customer conversion and service quality, leveraging WiFi 7 and gig‑speed plans to differentiate on speed and reliability while operations chief Kristy Harrison highlights disciplined execution and faster customer connections as critical to sustaining growth and enhancing the business case for its expanding footprint.
