Brightspeed Nears Two-Thirds Completion of Georgia Fiber Build, Adds BEAD-Funded Expansion

New updates have been reported about Brightspeed.

Meet Samuel – Your Personal Investing Prophet

Brightspeed is accelerating its Georgia strategy, reporting that 65 percent of its planned fiber network build in the state is complete and now delivering multi-gig service to nearly 20,000 homes and businesses in Liberty and Bryan counties. The company ultimately expects to reach about 31,000 locations in these counties, positioning its footprint to benefit from both private capital and public funding aimed at closing the digital divide.

To drive adoption as construction proceeds, Brightspeed is deploying branded representatives door to door in Hinesville and Richmond Hill to explain service availability, pricing, and fiber benefits to residents and local enterprises. The Georgia build is being supplemented by a provisional $2.2 million award from the federal BEAD program, which, once approved by the NTIA, will fund an additional 1,227 fiber passings and deepen the company’s infrastructure investment in the state.
