Brightspeed has reached a key milestone in Louisiana, reporting that its fiber network build is now 50% complete across the state and fully built in the rural communities of Basile and Bordelonville, extending high-speed access to more than 43,000 homes and businesses. Construction is actively progressing across multiple parishes, including Allen, Avoyelles, Bossier, Caddo, Evangeline, Jefferson Davis, La Salle, Rapides, St. Martin and Webster, positioning the company to significantly expand its fiber footprint in the region.
To accelerate customer adoption and awareness, Brightspeed is deploying door-to-door sales teams in a broad set of smaller markets such as Arnaudville, Breaux Bridge, Choudrant, Church Point, Cottonport and several other towns, where representatives are educating residents and small businesses on upcoming fiber availability, plans and pricing. The Louisiana build is backed by a mix of private capital and public support, including more than $7.5 million in BEAD funding and over $270,000 in ARPA grants, and once construction concludes, Brightspeed expects its fiber network to reach roughly 85,300 locations statewide, reinforcing its growth strategy as a major U.S. fiber broadband builder and strengthening its long-term revenue potential in underserved markets.
