Viaplay ( ($SE:VPLAY.B) ) just unveiled an announcement.
Viaplay Group has extended its exclusive rights to UEFA Champions League men’s football in Denmark, and to the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League in Norway and Finland, from fall 2027 through 2031, maintaining its unique status as the only broadcaster to have shown every Champions League match since the competition’s 1992 inception in Denmark. The deal strengthens Viaplay’s premium sports portfolio, which already features properties such as the English Premier League, Danish Superliga, Swedish national team football, Formula 1 and NHL, reinforcing its competitive position in Nordic sports streaming and supporting its strategy to secure commercially proven, locally relevant content that attracts viewers and underpins long‑term subscriber and advertising revenue.
The extended UEFA agreements are expected to deepen audience engagement in Denmark, Norway and Finland by combining top European club competitions with strong local interest, particularly where national teams participate in the Europa and Conference Leagues. By locking in marquee football rights well into the next decade, Viaplay fortifies its market positioning against rival broadcasters and streaming platforms, providing greater visibility on future content offerings for subscribers, advertisers and partners across the Nordic media landscape.
The most recent analyst rating on ($SE:VPLAY.B) stock is a Hold with a SEK1.45 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Viaplay stock, see the SE:VPLAY.B Stock Forecast page.
