Veidekke ASA ( (GB:0GF6) ) has issued an announcement.
Veidekke has secured a NOK 160 million construction-only contract from Norwegian rail infrastructure manager Bane NOR to build a new overhead contact line system on the Dovre Line between Jessnes in Ringsaker and Hamar station. The project underpins Bane NOR’s broader double-track expansion through Stange to Hamar and will be booked in Veidekke’s order backlog for the second quarter of 2026.
The contract covers installation of an overhead contact line system with autotransformers, 140 catenary masts, 172 column foundations, about 21 kilometres of AT lines and 6.7 kilometres of overhead contact line, plus a 22 kV line from the Hamar converter station including 5.6 kilometres of high-voltage cabling. Work starts in late May, with most activity in 2026–2027 and completion in 2028, reinforcing Veidekke’s position in Norwegian rail infrastructure while Bane NOR highlights the project’s importance for delivering power to new double-track infrastructure and its attention to neighbouring communities.
