TRATON SE ( (DE:8TRA) ) has provided an update.
In 2025, the TRATON GROUP’s total unit sales fell 9% to around 305,500 vehicles amid a weak and uncertain global truck market, with particularly sharp declines at International Motors in the United States and lower volumes for Scania in Brazil as higher interest rates and inflation weighed on heavy-duty truck demand. Despite the downturn, TRATON sharply accelerated its electrification push, nearly doubling all-electric sales to 3,230 vehicles, led by strong growth at MAN Truck & Bus and Scania, while MAN also increased overall unit sales on the back of its full-range offering and solid demand for buses and vans, and Volkswagen Truck & Bus managed a slight increase in total units as bus sales offset softening Brazilian truck demand, highlighting a mixed performance across brands but continued strategic momentum in zero-emission vehicles.
