Skanska AB ( ($SE:SKA.B) ) has shared an update.
Skanska has secured a USD 77 million (about SEK 720 million) contract from Hillsborough County Public Schools to rebuild Stewart Middle Magnet School in Tampa, Florida, reinforcing its U.S. presence in the educational facilities segment. The project will be added to Skanska’s U.S. order bookings for the first quarter of 2026, contributing to the company’s pipeline in a key growth market.
The redevelopment will demolish and rebuild Stewart Middle Magnet School to create a shared campus with the adjacent Just Elementary School, delivering more than 12,500 square meters of educational space. Designed to serve over 1,500 students combined, the campus will feature shared facilities such as a cafeteria and media center, retain and upgrade the existing nostalgic gymnasium, and is scheduled for construction from February 2026 through completion in the first quarter of 2028.
