Skanska has secured a SEK 990 million contract from the City of Malmö to deliver the second phase of a new football and athletics facility, which will be booked in its Swedish order intake for the second quarter of 2026. The project, already in development through demolition and initial works, reinforces Skanska’s position in Nordic public infrastructure and adds to its backlog with a high-profile sports venue.
The stadium, designed for international athletics and football events, will accommodate up to 8,000 spectators and include running and jumping tracks, a javelin facility, changing rooms, media spaces, storage and catering areas. Completion is targeted around the turn of 2028–2029, enhancing Malmö’s sports infrastructure and showcasing Skanska’s role in delivering modern, multi-use municipal facilities.
