Great Quest Fertilizer ( (TSE:OGW) ) just unveiled an update.
Ongwe Minerals reported the discovery of a 2km-long bedrock gold anomaly, known as the Plains anomaly, at the Belmont prospect within its Khorixas Project in Namibia. The zone, up to 125m wide and associated with the Khorixas Fault Zone, lies beneath thick alluvial and calcrete cover and is interpreted as a structurally controlled, in-situ mineralized system rather than isolated high-grade veins.
The company has completed 3,970m of shallow drilling using a systematic bedrock sampling grid to outline the anomaly and has identified additional single-line anomalies along interpreted fault splays to the east. Ongwe plans to test the Plains anomaly with diamond drilling once bedrock sampling is finished and has now shifted its bedrock sampling program to the Manga target on the Omatjete Project, advancing multiple prospects across its Namibian portfolio.
