Omai Gold Mines ( (TSE:OMG) ) has issued an update.

Omai Gold Mines reported strong new drill results from eight holes at its Wenot deposit in Guyana, including intercepts of 7.74 grams per tonne gold over 13.5 metres and 6.30 grams per tonne over 9.8 metres. The drilling, concentrated mainly in the West and Central Wenot areas, is filling gaps in the resource model, upgrading mineralization confidence levels, and confirming robust gold zones in the Dike Corridor and surrounding rock units.

Five diamond drill rigs are now active on the Wenot deposit, with additional rigs set to test a nearby geophysical anomaly called “the Handle” and step-out targets at East Wenot. The company says these results support its view of Omai as a Tier 1 gold asset and are feeding into an updated Mineral Resource Estimate and a forthcoming Preliminary Economic Assessment, while parallel work on metallurgy, tailings and permitting prepares the project for potential pre-feasibility or feasibility studies.

The most recent analyst rating on (TSE:OMG) stock is a Buy with a C$2.40 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Omai Gold Mines stock, see the TSE:OMG Stock Forecast page.

The score is held down primarily by weak financial performance (no revenue, widening losses, and rising cash burn), with valuation also unfavorable due to continued losses and no dividend. Technicals are supportive in trend terms, but overbought momentum readings increase near-term downside risk.
