Nisshin OilliO Grows Revenue but Sees Margin Pressure in FY2025

Nisshin OilliO Group, Ltd. ( (JP:2602) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Nisshin OilliO reported fiscal 2025 net sales of ¥554.3 billion, up 4.4% year on year, driven mainly by growth in its Global Oil & Fat and Processed Oil & Fat segment and increased cosmetic ingredient sales in Japan, while overseas sales rose to 29.7% of total revenue. Despite the topline growth and a sharp jump in profit attributable to owners of the parent to ¥24.0 billion, operating profit fell 11.7% as higher input costs, lower household-use oil volumes, valuation losses on palm oil transactions, and weaker profitability in chocolate and MCT products weighed on margins.

In its core Oil, Fat & Meal and Processed Food & Materials segment, net sales were essentially flat and operating profit declined as higher costs for oils and fats, lower meal prices, and reduced sales volumes in household-use and chocolate products offset price hikes and selective volume gains. The Fine Chemical business maintained operating profit near prior-year levels as domestic cosmetic ingredients expanded but were partly offset by weaker volumes at overseas subsidiaries, underscoring a mixed earnings picture where cost inflation and product mix pressures tempered the benefits of international expansion and segment growth.
