Midsummer AB ( (SE:MIDS) ) has issued an update.
Midsummer has appointed Marcus Ek as its new Head of Sales Europe, tasking him with refining the company’s go-to-market model across the region to scale its thin film solar business. Ek, who joined on May 1 and will sit on Group management, brings over two decades of international sales and commercial experience from major ICT brands and recent leadership roles in façade and fintech companies.
Ek highlighted Midsummer’s ultra-light, flexible CIGS solar cells as a key competitive advantage, enabling installations on heritage buildings, lightweight roofs and façades where conventional panels are unsuitable. He pointed to the products’ low carbon footprint and aesthetics as strengthening the company’s value proposition in Europe, underscoring a strategic push to build a stronger sales team and expand market presence in the region.
