Lion Rock Minerals has overhauled its leadership, appointing former Sierra Rutile executives Theuns de Bruyn as CEO and Grant Scott as COO, alongside Duncan Craib as non-executive chair and David Brophy as non-executive director. The CEO and COO will be based in Cameroon, underscoring the company’s operational focus on its Minta rutile and monazite project and its broader African portfolio.

The new directors and executives, who bring extensive African mineral sector and capital markets experience, will cornerstone a A$2 million equity raising at A$0.02 per share, signaling confidence in the company’s growth plans. The strengthened team aims to accelerate resource definition and studies at Minta as a potential strategic source of natural rutile and rare-earth monazite, while also evaluating value options for the Kitongo and Logo uranium projects after gaining strong support from Cameroonian authorities and confirming encouraging site infrastructure.
