The latest update is out from Kruso Kapital S.P.A. ( (IT:KK) ).
Kruso Kapital reported its best-ever first quarter, with net profit rising 34.9% year-on-year to €2.6 million on the back of higher pawn loan volumes, improved margins, and a stronger contribution from its Portuguese subsidiary. Loans to customers grew to €161 million, net interest and other banking income climbed 16.1% to €9.6 million, and efficiency improved as the cost-income ratio fell to 57.7% despite higher operating costs tied to staff, IT, and advisory spending.
The balance sheet also strengthened, with total assets up 5.7% to €227.3 million and the Total Capital Ratio increasing to 30.5%, reflecting profit growth outpacing risk-weighted assets. The board approved a new 2026-2028 industrial plan that replaces the prior roadmap and targets sustained expansion in pawn lending, international consolidation, and broader funding diversification, positioning Kruso Kapital for continued growth as it exits its banking group perimeter.
