Kansai Electric Power Company ( (JP:9503) ) has issued an update.

Kansai Electric Power Company and its group firm Kanden Realty & Development will tender a large portion of their stake in KINDEN CORPORATION into KINDEN’s share buyback, reducing their combined ownership from 37.13% to an expected 24.33%, while maintaining their business alliance. The move is positioned as a step to improve capital efficiency and optimize the capital relationship, while preserving collaboration on growth projects such as data centers and battery storage in response to decarbonization and increasing electricity demand.

If the planned 33.5 million KINDEN shares are sold at the tender offer price, Kansai Electric expects to book about ¥176 billion in extraordinary non-consolidated income and about ¥105 billion on a consolidated basis in the fiscal year ending March 2027. These gains could strengthen the company’s financial position and support ongoing investment in stable power supply and new growth businesses alongside KINDEN, benefiting stakeholders through a more efficient balance sheet and sustained strategic partnership.

The most recent analyst rating on (JP:9503) stock is a Hold with a Yen2800.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Kansai Electric Power Company stock, see the JP:9503 Stock Forecast page.
