International General Insurance Holdings ( (IGIC) ) just unveiled an announcement.

International General Insurance Holdings reported unaudited results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, showing resilient underwriting performance despite challenging market and geopolitical conditions. The group posted underwriting income of $37.7 million, an 89.1% combined ratio and core operating income of $24.4 million, while returning nearly $65 million to shareholders via buybacks and dividends, including an extraordinary payout.

Compared with the first quarter of 2025, gross written premiums declined to $197.2 million, mainly due to non-renewal of two large reinsurance programs and softer reinsurance markets, yet underwriting income rose 35.2% on lower loss and acquisition expenses. The company absorbed $21.3 million of catastrophe losses tied largely to the war and ongoing conflict in the Middle East, saw net income fall to $21.7 million and annualized ROE to 12.7%, and reported a drop in shareholders’ equity to $653.6 million by March 31, 2026, reflecting capital returned to investors and investment and FX headwinds.

Segment results were mixed, with the Specialty Long-tail segment swinging from a $7.5 million underwriting loss to $17.5 million of income, while the Specialty Short-tail segment’s underwriting income fell sharply to $9.2 million as conflict-related claims rose. The Reinsurance segment shrank in premium volume but modestly improved underwriting income to $11.0 million, and overall investment income grew slightly even as net investment income declined on weaker equity mark-to-market performance and adverse foreign exchange movements.

The most recent analyst rating on (IGIC) stock is a Buy with a $28.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on International General Insurance Holdings stock, see the IGIC Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on IGIC Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, IGIC is a Outperform.

The score is driven primarily by strong fundamentals (high profitability/ROE and exceptionally low leverage), supported by a positive technical setup (price above major moving averages with positive MACD) and attractive valuation (low P/E plus ~3.9% yield). The main constraints are top-line pressure and cash-flow variability, reinforced by earnings-call commentary on competitive pricing and expected selective contraction despite ongoing capital returns.
