Hawthorn Resources Limited ( (AU:HAW) ) has issued an update.
Hawthorn Resources has appointed Wei Liu as a non-executive director, effective 16 April 2026, adding deep mining, exploration and project study experience from his senior roles at PanAust and related resource companies. His appointment is intended to strengthen the board’s technical capacity as Hawthorn progresses its Western Australian projects and he will stand for election at the company’s 2026 AGM.
At the same time, long-serving non-executive director Zhensheng Liu will retire from the board on 16 April 2026 after a decade of contributing technical and strategic guidance to Hawthorn’s mining and exploration activities. The orderly transition, acknowledged by chairman Li Yijie with formal thanks to the departing director, reflects ongoing board renewal as the company advances its project pipeline.
