The latest update is out from Green & Gold Minerals Limited ( (AU:GG1) ).
Green & Gold Minerals has reported new rock chip assays from its Nutgrove project in Queensland, confirming significant magmatic and secondary heavy rare earth mineralisation across a 3 km by 4 km area. A spherulitic rhyolite sample returned 2,230 ppm heavy rare earth yttrium oxide, the highest result to date from primary magmatic mineralisation at the site, while basalt-hosted supergene samples assayed up to 1,605 ppm, with heavy rare earths averaging 59% of total rare earths in recent tests.
The company says the discovery of magmatic-hosted rare earths alongside evidence of REE mobility through weathering supports the potential for both hard rock and supergene or ionic clay-hosted deposits at Nutgrove. Management plans further mapping and sampling of the rhyolite, including the spherulitic phase, to assess scale and continuity, positioning Nutgrove as an emerging heavy rare earth prospect with potentially broader strategic significance within the REE sector.
