An announcement from Go Digit General Insurance Limited ( (IN:GODIGIT) ) is now available.
Digit Insurance has released its 14th Transparency Report, detailing operational performance for the half year and full year ended 31 March 2026, including service and claims turnaround times across its major product lines. The disclosure underscores the insurer’s push to set a higher bar on customer service and regulatory compliance by publicly benchmarking itself against regulator-prescribed timelines.
The company reported settling over 1 million claims in FY 2025-26 across all business lines, highlighting scale and execution capability. It said 82.9% of health insurance cashless approvals were cleared within 30 minutes, well ahead of the one-hour requirement, and most post-policy changes were completed instantly or within two hours, versus the seven-day benchmark.
Digit also broadened its transparency initiative by publishing everyday service metrics such as policy fixes, call-centre effectiveness and social media responsiveness. It reported that 95% of customer calls were resolved on the first contact and that social media queries received an initial response in about four minutes, indicating a strong emphasis on customer experience and real-time support.
The insurer further highlighted growing digital adoption, with more than 470,000 customers using WhatsApp self-service for real-time updates, reinforcing its digital-first strategy. Together, these metrics suggest that Digit is leveraging technology to enhance speed and reliability of service, which could bolster customer trust and competitive positioning in India’s general insurance sector.
