Bharat Seats Limited ( (IN:BHARATSE) ) has shared an announcement.
Bharat Seats Limited has disclosed that it received appellate orders from the Commissioner of Income Tax (Appeals), Delhi, covering assessment years 2014-15 to 2017-18 under section 250 of the Income Tax Act. The orders, dated March 30, 2026 and received on March 31, 2026, address earlier tax demands raised under sections 147 and 143(3).
Following these appellate decisions, the outstanding tax demand of Rs. 7.86 crore for assessment years 2014-15 to 2017-18 will be reduced to nil, easing the company’s immediate financial liabilities. However, appeals relating to the remaining tax demand of Rs. 14.57 crore for assessment years 2018-19 to 2024-25 are still pending, leaving some uncertainty over the final tax exposure for shareholders and other stakeholders.
