An update from Babcock International ( (GB:BAB) ) is now available.

Babcock International reported strong underlying operational and financial performance for the year to 31 March 2026, led by double‑digit revenue growth and margin expansion in its Nuclear and Aviation divisions, and solid progress in Marine and Land. Despite this momentum, statutory results were hit by a £140 million non‑recurring charge on the fixed‑price Type 31 frigate contract, which drove a revenue reversal of about £100 million, reduced the Marine division to an operating loss, and lowered group margins, although underlying free cash flow rose to £262 million and net debt fell to £329 million.

Management left guidance for FY27 unchanged, citing around 70% of next year’s revenue already under contract and reiterating medium‑term targets of mid‑single‑digit revenue growth, at least 9% operating margin and strong cash conversion. The group highlighted a string of strategic wins, including further Arrowhead 140 frigate licence business with Indonesia, expanded U.S. submarine work with HII, light utility vehicle orders for the British Army and Albania, and a major SMR Owner’s Engineer role in the U.K., while also launching a new £200 million share buyback that underscores confidence in cash generation despite the Type 31 setback.

The most recent analyst rating on (GB:BAB) stock is a Buy with a £1670.00 price target. To see the full list of analyst forecasts on Babcock International stock, see the GB:BAB Stock Forecast page.

Spark’s Take on BAB Stock

According to Spark, TipRanks’ AI Analyst, BAB is a Neutral.

The score is supported primarily by improving financial performance and a strong, confidence-boosting earnings call with reaffirmed margin targets and solid cash conversion. Technicals indicate an established uptrend but are heavily overbought, raising near-term risk. Valuation is the main drag due to a higher P/E and low dividend yield.
