Ashtead Tightens Free Float With Fresh Buyback of Nearly 90,000 Shares

Ashtead ( (GB:AHT) ) has issued an update.

Ashtead Group plc has continued to execute its previously announced share repurchase programme, buying back 89,969 ordinary shares on 9 February 2026 for holding in treasury at an average price of 4,946.0016 pence. The repurchases were carried out through J.P. Morgan Securities and form part of an up to $1.5bn capital return to shareholders.

Following this latest transaction, Ashtead now has 414,921,405 ordinary shares in issue excluding treasury shares, while 36,433,428 shares are held in treasury. The reduced free float will be used by investors and other market participants as the new reference figure for calculating disclosure thresholds under U.K. transparency rules.
