Arion Bank’s Nomination Committee has outlined its proposals ahead of the 11 March 2026 annual general meeting, recommending the re-election of current board members Paul Horner, Kristín Pétursdóttir, Steinunn Þórðardóttir and Gunnar Sturluson, and the election of Tómas Már Sigurðsson as a new director. The committee also proposes reappointing Horner as chairman and Pétursdóttir as vice-chairman, retaining current alternates Einar Hugi Bjarnason and Sigurbjörg Ólafsdóttir, and raising board remuneration by 5.8%, signalling a preference for continuity in governance while modestly adjusting compensation in line with the bank’s role as a systemically important institution.
