AMP Limited has appointed seasoned financial services executive Jackie Cleary as its new Chief Financial Officer, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Blair Vernon and joining the company’s executive team in Sydney. Cleary, who brings more than 25 years’ experience from senior roles at Jefferies Australia and Bank of America Merrill Lynch, will oversee AMP’s financial control, reporting, tax, treasury, corporate strategy and investor relations functions.
The appointment, following Vernon’s elevation to CEO in March, completes AMP’s refreshed executive lineup alongside recently named Chief People Officer Rebecca McDermott, Chief Operating Officer Rob Jarrett and the elevation of Chief Marketing Officer Tina Cleary to the executive team. AMP’s leadership emphasised that Cleary’s expertise in capital management and financial institutions will be central to optimising the balance sheet, redirecting capital toward growth and strengthening the finance function to support the company’s existing strategy and shareholder outcomes.
