Airtel Africa Plc ( (GB:AAF) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Airtel Africa reported strong growth for the year to 31 March 2026, driven by rising demand for data and digital financial services across its markets. Its customer base expanded 10.5% to 183.5 million, with data users up 14.8% and Airtel Money customers up 21.3%, fueling higher data usage and a 49% jump in mobile money transaction values.

Revenue rose 24.0% in constant currency, or 29.5% in reported terms, to $6.4bn, with data now the largest revenue contributor and mobile money also growing strongly. Underlying EBITDA climbed 30.4% in constant currency to $3.2bn, lifting margins to 49.3%, while profit after tax surged to $813m, enabling a 9.2% increase in the annual dividend and supporting heavier capex to expand networks, home broadband and data centres, even as rising energy costs threaten near-term margin pressure.
